And speaking of values....

... I just saw a neighbor, who is no longer a minor, but lives across the street from the church with his mother, stow a bottle under our bushes.

Should I go throw it away?

It's on your property? hell, yeah, unless it's something really good. Then you get to keep it.

It takes a village to raise a child. :-) Throwing it away would probably just make him mad or simply deprived. If your intent is to have some influence then you probably have to talk to him or his parents?

oh, he's not a child at all - more like in his 40s...

I'll tell the custodian about it today and have him keep an eye out.

I say tape the contact number for the local AA chapter to the label and put it back where it was.

Whoops. guess I thought he was a child, based on the (true) comment by the prior commentor ("it takes a village to raise a child"). I like the last idea, about taping the local AA Group Phone # to the bottle, and putting it right back where it was...saying a prayer for them as you do so. It lets them know that you SAW, that you didn't involve anyone else, and most importantly, that you (and God) care about them.
